Anton Genchev was born on January 10, 1970 in Kazanlak, Bulgaria. Since a child he worked woodcarving. Graduated high technical school in his home town. He studied luthierie by traditional old way: by apprenticeship and direct contacts with old and modern masters from the region and the country. He has been working independently since 1997, maker and restorer of violins and violas. Using high quality spruce and maple from the Balkan region, with perfect tonal quality, naturally dry for more then 10 years. He is known with the basic technology of Cremona violin building.
He is also a member of the Regional Luthier Association in Kazanlak. He has diplomas for participation in national and international exhibitions:
