M° Emilio Slaviero comes from a university background having recieved his diploma from the “Scuola di Formazione Professionale-Regione Lombardia” in 1982. In the same year he launched his proffessional carter opening his own workshop in his home city of Cremona.
From 1982 to 1992 he alternated his workshop activities with teaching of workshop and styles in the same institute.
Drived by his continual research, he is well versed with the newest methods of construction, particularly those German, frequentino the workshop of the Grunke family.
From 1988 to 1992 he was nominated official Bow Maker Export by the “Festival Tibor VARGA” in Sion (Switzerland) where he carried out restorations on the various musicians’ bows of world fame, with whom he maintains regular contact for purposes of his own developement.

It is such prerogative accompanied by an enunciated and original workmanship which helps his developing of proffessional rapports with colleagues in France and above all, in 1990 with M° Bow Maker and Export JF Raffin, with whom he still collaborates, bringing fondamental tools for the understanding and evaluating of bows.
From the outset of his proffessional development, he has carried out copies of the great masters of old, mainly French of the 1800’s, omitting the research of too personal models.

In 1994 he participated in the World of Double Bass festival in Avignone (France) organised by the “Octo-Bass” association, where his work was much appreciated, mostly in the area of originalità and finishing.
His particolar proffessional vision facilitates his ongoing study of the excecutive musical praxis throuought the ages, from which flows his ardour for the construction of bows of transition and baroque using iron wood, snake wood, bois d’abeille, in full respect of filological principles.
For the last few years he ha salso taught maintenance and repair for the full quartet of bows at the “Scuola Internazionale di Liuteria” in Cremona.
His operations are primarily based between the two cities of Rome and Cremona.
His bows have recieved international acclaim having reached a good level, be it in thier stylistic interest as in their functionality for well known musicians world wide.
