1979, I tooke over the the manufacture of bow in our family-company in 4. generation and puts down the traditions with it my family and the bow construction in the Vogtland Musikwinkel away.
Three generations of my family: grandfather Kurt, father Werner and the founder of our company Richard Uebel.
The bow-construction on present level in our family is a development of my father Werner Uebel.

I studied in a difficult time for the craft first tool-makers. Already during the join-time in my occupation I began my leisure time with the bowmaking however. After the retraining to the bowmaker (1979-1980) and final examination 1980 followed 1982 the masters exam in the bow-maker – craft.
I’m independently since 1984 and works in the traditional workshop in Gopplasgrün near Erlbach im Vogtland.
My work-main focus forms however also bow-repairs of each type the reconstruction of violin, viola-, cello- and bass-bows.
