Pier Angelo Balazarini was born in Cremona May 26, 1962.

He graduated from the Violin making School in Cremona in 1976. His teachers were Primo Pistoni, Wanna Zambelli and Alceste Bulfari.

He has won many competitions including a Gold Medal at the 1988 “triennale” competition in Cremona. His production is not very continous, periods of intense work alternate with others of lesser production.

He has made over one hundred instruments, taking approximately forty-five days to build a violin in the white and about one month to varnish.

He has traveled the world giving master classes & taken part on several juries of violinmaking competitions, including the Mittenwald competitions and the Cremona competitions.

1962年クレモナ生まれ。

1976年クレモナの製作学校を卒業。

Primo Pistoni, Wanna Zambelli , Alceste Bulfariに師事。

1988年トリエンナーレ金賞(チェロ)他受賞多数。

トリエンナーレに彼の名を冠した賞がある。
