Mougenot returned to France, working in Lyon and Paris and later at the London firm of W.E. Hill & Sons. In 1899 he finally returned to his hometown of Mirecourt, where he set up a shop that trained over 65 French and foreign makers in the course of its history, and produced an enormous number of instruments along the way. Most are built on the models of Stradivari, Guarneri , Lupot, or Vuillaume, and a red alcohol-based varnish is typical.

http://tarisio.com/cozio-archive/browse-the-archive/makers/
2014/11/28

VIADUCT VIOLINS

{"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false

13

post-2024","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-makers
["GET
