From 1920 until 1924 he was employed by Frantisek Kritz in Prague, later (1930-33) by Karel Josef Dvorak. Some time later he opened a workshop of his own in Prague -Nusele No. 726, then after World War 2 accepted a port with the firm Coufalik in Ceske Budejovice. Before 1948 he emigrated to Erlanger in Bavaria. He prefers the model of Stradivari, Guarneri, C. Bergonzi and L. Guadagnini, Excellent workmanship, beautiful material and a golden-yellow oil varnish characterrize his instruments.
