Thought to have been pupils of <a href=\"https:\/\/tarisio.com\/cozio-archive\/browse-the-archive\/makers\/maker\/?Maker_ID=183\">Giovanni Battista<\/a> Gabrielli, who was working in Florence around that time, the brothers were also heavily inspired by <a href=\"https:\/\/tarisio.com\/cozio-archive\/browse-the-archive\/makers\/maker\/?Maker_ID=1276\">Jacob Stainer<\/a>. Stainer&#8217;s influence was widespread in Florence during the mid-18th century, which may partly be due to the prominence of the Austrian Habsburg family in Tuscany.<br><br>Their varnish tends to be of a yellow-brown color.
