He initially adopted his father&#8217;s elegant and traditional style, but over time his bows took on more modern characteristics and a general heaviness. Consequently, his early work is more highly regarded. Lotte remained prolific after his father&#8217;s death in 1970 and supplied bows to many firms in Paris and Mirecourt.
