In 1902 he moved to Paris to join the workshop of Eug\u00e8ne Sartory, also collaborating with his brother on occasion. F\u00e9tique used a model very similar to Sartory&#8217;s, although some of his later bows are more of the Peccatte school, featuring square heads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Beginning in 1917 F\u00e9tique worked for the firm of Caressa &amp; Fran\u00e7ais while continuing to collaborate with Sartory until 1934, when he set up his own firm with violin maker Andr\u00e9 Dugad. He produced a great number of consistently high-quality bows, many of which bear the Caressa &amp; Fran\u00e7ais or \u00c9mile Fran\u00e7ais brands. Those he made for himself are stamped &#8220;J. F\u00e9tique,&#8221; &#8220;J.
