From 1922 to 1925 he worked for Eugène Cuniot-Hury, and in 1926 he set up his own workshop.

Lotte’s early bows are elegant with somewhat rounded heads, which gradually become more flattened and square in the 1930s. Beginning in 1936 he hired several assistants, including his son Roger François, who joined him in 1940. Lotte retired in 1960 but remained a presence in the shop until his death in 1970. He left behind a considerable number of bows ranging in quality from good to excellent, and his son continued the family tradition to the end of the 20th Century.
Instruments
Filter by

Relevant instruments and bows found on Cozio Archive:
Cello Bow: 1 | Viola Bow: 2 | Violin Bow: 11 | 40 other properties not displayed publicly
Cello Bow 64959
Viola Bow 68835
Viola Bow 68840
Violin Bow 64389
Violin Bow 64957
Violin Bow 62784
Violin Bow 68798
Violin Bow 64718
Violin Bow 64013
Violin Bow 67837
Violin Bow 64716
Violin Bow 64010
Violin Bow 66491
Violin Bow 64679
Subscribe to the Cozio Archive

The full Cozio archive, with 200,000+ photos

Full access to Cozio Carteggio features

A new Carteggio feature every week

Fine Instrument and Bow auction news

Speculative, Restorable and Trade news
LOGIN
SUBSCRIBE

SIGN UP AS A FREE USER

François Lotte price history
Browse the Cozio Archive

32,141 Instruments & Bows
123456

Sign up to our newsletter

Cozio Archive inquiries

{"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false

13

post-589","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-makers
["GET
